Hello from a new place.

Many thanks to Ian for setting up and running ‘old Fraser’ for me; i certainly couldn’t have done it myself …. but i am now lucky to have Nikola take up the reigns, as such, and i’m looking forward to learning a bunch of stuff i didn’t about the world wide web from him. Hopefully you’ll like the new site once it gets tightened up over the coming days and weeks.

Otherwise, i’m still here in California, but only for a few more days. I’m gradually dialling down the hours, not quite tapering per say, but certainly finding more time to do, well, not much! Once settled back I got back into a solid aerobic block for 5 or 6 days after the 70.3 and the last 3 days i’ve limited it to just a couple decent sessions per day. – Stuff like 25*200yds on the 2.30 cycle in the pool, 10*(2min solid/1min recovery) on the bike on my shorter (70k) rides and 40*(40secs on/20secs off) inside a 16k 1 hour run. These are just ‘pick -up’ kind of sessions i suppose; stuff to make me feel sharper, but never really testing the water too much. I decided i didn’t want to end up digging a Fraser-sized hole whilst chasing some ‘magical’ extra few miles before heading home. – I’m sensible enough to understand i won’t get any fitter in the next 10 days.

I’m happy with my form i’d say, although quite what ‘form’ is really needed i’m not sure for my next race – being totally alien to me after all!

Ironman UK huh!! – Who’d have thunk-ed it??
