It’s been a while since I have been able to log a race report, so i’ll throw a quick one together here. I’m back in Stirling, it’s not raining, Spring is coming and I have (more than) survived my first long race of this year. It’s all good really.

The last week has been a whirlwind of driving up and down the Interstate 5 from LA to San Diego and back with my side kick Joe Gambles. Joe had a number of sponsor commitments and I was keen to go see some friends down there, including web team mate Lesley Paterson. We managed (somehow) to fit in [...]

New team, new kit, new bikes and jet lag. - It’s all go here in Santa Monica, north of LA, at the K Swiss headquarters. Lots of fun stuff happening, a little bit of training and a tonne of learning and some terrible hair styling all in the name of team building……??

I’ve been lucky over the years (touch wood) … and not crashed my bike too often, however yesterday I managed to be stupid. But lucky. Things always happen for a reason in my book, but I am still figuring this one out!

Thanks to everyone who has been in touch since Sunday, it’s been fantastic support!! With a couple days of reflection I can appreciate that getting through to the finish line on Sunday was a fair old achievement, as the body wasn’t playing very fair with me once the running shoes were added.  It’s a funny old game [...]

3rd place wasn’t what I went to Wimbleball Lake for, but given it was - on reflection - probably the toughest race I’ve finished so far in my career, I’m content with a podium; my 6th on the 70.3 circuit.
