Woohoo! I won! It was 2 years and 3 attempts coming, but I secured a victory in East London on Sunday finally - and it felt good for sure. It’s not easy to win a race these days, so I am more than happy with how I coped on race day to do just that.

I would prefer not to write, so I will keep it short and to the point. I didn’t finish yesterday in Prague and I am none to happy about it. Racing for GBR is somthing I don’t take lightly and I hoped to be in contention for a top 5 or better whilst doing so. [...]

Despite racing over the 70.3 distance last weekend I had a plan b for this weekend if the legs felt willing … thankfully by Saturday morning they had started to come around and by Sunday morning they felt like my own once again. Just.

I had a fun day today - firstly racing, and then mostly helping out - at the Stirling Triathlon which included the Scottish Schools Championships.

I like racing at home when I can, and the Stirling Triathlon Club have been very supportive of me so far, making it all the more worthwhile being able to give a little something back [...]

It’s taken a while, but I was able to get back to winning ways and defend my 2008 title yesterday at the TriAthy Triathlon in Athy, Ireland. Despite there being plenty to improve upon, the result marks a positve step in the right direction for me as the season rolls on in earnest.

After what feels like an awfully long time, I am now back in Escondido from the ‘Wildflower trip’. It was a long one I’ll tell you that! But a load of fun nontheless, and most importantly I finished. Without leg pain. About bloomin’ time….

Today I raced an olympic distance event in Miami. Non drafting. I finished 8th place in 1.52.16. It was a tough day at the office as they say, but a solid start to the year in the Northern Hemisphere.
