I headed down to the bike shop this afternoon to have a proper look at my new framesets, and generally get excited about all the new stuff! I should have at least one of them ready to ride (and show you) tomorrow. But for now, have a look….
Today I raced an olympic distance event in Miami. Non drafting. I finished 8th place in 1.52.16. It was a tough day at the office as they say, but a solid start to the year in the Northern Hemisphere.
The South African experience is drawing to a close. This time next week it will be ‘this way to depatures’.
I’m really pleased to say that I have just signed with Profile Design for this 2009 season. I will be racing in their wetsuits and - for the warmer swims – speed suits. I will also be using their aerobottles, bottles cages and other hydration components.
I have been making very good use of my compression socks during the past 10 days….. which is exactly how long I have had some out here in Stellenbosch, since I forgot to bring my own when I flew initially.
